Gardening Workshops

Here at the Gardening Workshops we welcome both beginners and more experienced gardeners

Tessa Allen and Jill Corrigan have been running their gardening workshops since 2004.

The pair originally met at Hadlow College where Tessa was teaching and Jill was studying.

Tessa's students were wanting an opportunity to learn practical gardening skills, having gained their paper qualifications.

Jill generously offered her garden 'anytime you want to bring students round to practice' and so Gardening Workshops was born.

The workshops are held in Jill's lovely walled garden in Shipbourne, near Sevenoaks, Kent, where everyone is encouraged to 'have a go' in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

RHS-qualified Jill has lived at the Garden House since the early 1990s and has planned and developed its beautiful Victorian walled garden.

Tessa divides her time between professional gardening for clients and teaching; she has taught the RHS Certificate in the Principles of Horticulture since 1994.

Over the years they have made many friends and had a lot of fun sharing their love and knowledge of gardening.

The workshops are usually limited to ten people to ensure everyone has individual attention.
